Been throwing wood in the fireplace all day because the avg temp today has been 36.8 and our low was 21. Really not sure about the snow tonight, seems like we've got a few showers lined up 6-8 hours away, but I just don't know if they'll make it over the cascades. A flurry does seem guaranteed at this point, not sure about accumulation.

44 currently, the sun got us all the way up to 49 following our 5pm temp of 42, the sun warms us up quick this time of year. Awful BBQ weather but atleast we've only had some light drizzles, no downpours.

We'll see if this gets watered down or not.

Our heat came on this morning. Pretty cold for this time of year.

Another nice minus for SEA today. I also circled the heating degree days (HDD) area on this for people who aren't familiar with it. It is calculated each day by subtracting the daily average from 65. The daily running total is kept track of from July 1 to June 30 of each year. That total compared to normal can be easily used to estimate where the running average temperature is compared to average. Seattle has so few cooling degree days it's not that big of a deal like it would be for Portland. You can see from this that last year had more HDD than normal which means that July 1 through this date last year was running below normal for temperature average and this year is running just a tad below normal number of HDD which means the average since July 1 of last year is just a tad above normal.
