March 2026 Observations & Discussion
4F this morning at home. Nice dry commute but large flakes flying again up here at the work site. It looks like mid-winter. Not gonna lie, I think old man winter got p*ssed when summer-like temps snuck north a week ago. Kicked it out and slammed the door! Hopefully a plan to be downstate Saturday seeing some 60's works out. The ice is horrid too with many co-workers expecting to be out for the rest of the week. Businesses on the main hwy in Houghton Lake did have power this morning (priority ofc).- 1

March 2026 Observations & Discussion
After a BN day today, looks like a very normal typical end to March coming up. Nothing too cold, and nothing too warm. At least for SMI. 40's and 50's. Blah, but hopefully some sun. Time to get seeds going indoors for the garden.- 1

March 2026 Weather in the PNW
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Or like some protection layer in the atmosphere has been lowered. I don't think those far south aurora borealis is beyond this. The SW, US has been a hot spot for Global Warming for a while though.. people were always saying PHX's records were Urban heat island... but the whole SW, US is heating up the same now. Keep in mind, PHX is probably going to break its March record by +4F. This is before March, Dec-Feb: The difference between 1 to 2 is almost the same as 2 to 20! And number 2 is last year! lol Sunsets never used to glow purple on the horizon like that.
