FSD reached 89 which was good not only for a daily record but the warmest March temp in history.
I reached 93 IMBY. Felt like summer. Spent most of the day outside at a family BBQ. Quite enjoyable.
Automation at its finest.
Most don't know that an official temp from Asos is a 5 minute avg. Not a big deal you say?
So even though it reached 92F for two consecutive minutes , it doesn't count and the official high for DSM is 91F.
92F would have been the warmest March day ever, but 91F tie 3 /29/1986.
Seen it do this for -20F also, but -19F it's official. Frustrating at times.
Certainly not like the old days with a min/max thermometer in a instrument shelter. In that case- it would have been 92F.
