Weird little setup yesterday and today. There has been a tight MCV that moved up from Texas and right over Tulsa. It spawned a tornado yesterday in SE oklahoma with basically no lightning. Talking it over we think the best explanation is that we have a high humidity tropical airmass with a localized area of high shear and low cape. Kind of landfalling hurricane like.
Today that MCV went right over the city. It got dark and foggy and breezy as it moved through. Probably some additional showers this afternoon.
Whether or not we actually go live chasing via YouTube we are setting things up. Working on our logo and we got are name already secured. lol, we’re no professionals….this is all just in fun for us but we are also learning and want to be beneficial to the communities as well with spotter reports and being a helping hand where things unfold. Fun adventures anyhow. Here’s a couple of our logos we played with yesterday and of course it will probably change. On the side my cuz is into ghost towns and ghost so this is how the name derived. Of course that could change too.
Our only chance today is to head east of Cheyenne, possibly some action later on. lol, I’m just glad to be out to chase! In this particular pattern, I might be able to pick up some isolated cells for some beautiful photography. Anyhow, anything can happen. If no action we can always seek out steakhouses and chow down on loaded bakers!!! Glad to be back on the road though
