Most of Iowa and the western 1/2 of Illinois has 80+ degree dewpoints right now, with some of the quality controlled observation sites reporting dews of 84-86 and locally higher elsewhere. Certainly a higher end dewpoint event for an area that is no stranger to high dews in summer.

Des Moines ,IA had a 81F dew pt earlier this afternoon. Highest since 2001. The 116 HI is about as miserable it gets around here. Thank God clouds rolled in and "cooled" off.

Not measurable here just enough to dampen the ground for a bit.

Could definitely use some rain but not much really coming this week. There was a large brush fire near power lines earlier today in gig harbor and it shut off the power here and in gig harbor for a few hours today. Had to bust the generator out in July.
