Anything within half a degree of average, I consider normal (even up to a full degree, depending). -0.2 or +0.1, same difference to me, really. Not to mention these are based on the warmest 30-year averages ever.

Honestly this could be one of the coldest Julys I can remember in a long time (recent history).......................... at best, the models have as getting back to climo for short periods.
First half of June did some work as far as putting up positive anomalies. The underpeformance on Monday's high temps all but ensures that June will technically finish a hair below average at ORD, probably a couple tenths of a degree or so.
