Happy Independence Day everyone! I can’t believe it’s been 250 years already!! This will likely be the biggest 4th of July in our lifetimes, enjoy all the fireworks tonight!!!

Even that doesn't compare to the wet bulb globe temperatures that the DC area was experiencing.

That 134F is pretty suspect. The sensor was too exposed, near the ground by a building and away from vegetation. Plus the low temps for that date don't scream major heatwave. August 2020's 130F is the likely record holder. Still a 130-burger... Troutdale will have to wait a few years to best that mark imo
