Yeah it's really something. But at least for now, the visibility reductions in the northeast aren't as bad as what is happening around the northern Lakes.
These super Niño winters basically have a window from about December 15 - January 15 to deliver. I wouldn’t be surprised if things line up right briefly in that timeframe and we see at least something. That said, a wall-to-wall blowtorch wouldn’t surprise me either.
Something has to give in December, though, right? The last three were all top 5 warmest on record at PDX. Even like, a +1 December with a normal start to ski season would be a solid win at this point.
