That heat signatures on those aren’t gospel. They can be off a bit due to the angle of the satellite, heat in the smoke column, etc. From what I’ve seen it hasn’t jumped 35 yet. The highway is open and there are recent live streams showing no flames. Technically could have spotted across, but unlikely to be showing as a heat signature while the highway remains open.

I've been eyeing that period for a couple reasons....That is the weekend of the Air and Water show in Chicago 14-16th. Man, I miss watching the jets roar overhead! Chitown has the best back drop...all the pilots get very excited when they are recruited for this particular show. They absolutely love flying and ripping over the city and beaches! Can you imagine the views from up top???

Down to 2.5 mi now at SLE. Looks like that's the worst of the major stations.
