My mom would take us for hot chocolate (there’s home video of a snow day I’m pretty sure was in January 1982 of this taking place) and two of my aunts who chain smoked were always there. I specifically remember them not even turning their heads, just doing the little side blow lip maneuver. Happier, healthier times.

At the end of last August we hit 4980dm, which was an all time August record in the N. Hemisphere. Since the aurora borealis so far south in May 2024, the Arctic circle has had this Summer pattern 2024, 2025, 2026.
