I’m just curious how summers like these ( not a lot of extremes) compare to following winters with raging roid El Niños? It’s been on the warmer side east side of the mountains consistently, but looks to cool down as well soon. I know El Niño is famous for an active late fall and early winter, but since it’s so strong, is it blowing its wad a little early?

This has been an incredibly mild summer. May not get many more like this..

Nice to see the GFS give up on the long-range heat-fest it had been insisting on for so long. If we could get through the rest of summer with only a few more 90+ days, I'd be happy.
