Was out hunting for the weekend with my pops at Thompson reservoir the last couple of days. Was great weather Friday with highs around 70 and most of Saturday. Then last night the front came in with 60 mph winds and thunderstorms for a good portion of the evening. Haven’t seen it like that over there in quite some time. I mean, the lightning lasted well into the late evening with hail going til 10pm. We almost left but stuck it out. Cleared out overnight then a couple showers this morning. lows both mornings were at 36 per my truck. Saw a butt load of deer, a handful of antelope, but no elk.
Also caught a couple trout at Ana Reservoir. The guy camping next to us caught a nice 4lb 25” trout at Thompson. Successful weekend in my eyes.
As of this evening up to 0.81”‘for September. Would be a bit below normal if we didn’t get any more rain the rest of the month but I’m sure we get something before October.
