That is *not* a consensus in the climate science community. I can link you to a hoard of published literature reaching the exact opposite conclusion.
I don’t know if you’re pulling this out of your arse or are simply being fed misinformation, but none of what you say is accurate.

I apologize for wanting to remain largely anonymous on here but it just really pushes my buttons when opinion is stated as fact. I don’t have a problem with Phil having an opinion that is different from the consensus in the climate science community but in my view you need some pretty good reasons to dispute a straightforward result like “it’s going to get wetter in rainy season in the PNW in the next 30 years”.
”The climate system is really complicated” and “there is some paleoclimate precedent for the opposite result” is not going to cut it. Especially when the observational evidence has been confirming the climate model predictions.
