Pretty day, a little on the warm side with a high of 84, but knowing this is the peak of the warmth for the next week or so makes it more tolerable.
84/51 spread with some high clouds early then wall to wall sunshine. Beautiful evening out currently with a nice breeze and a temp of 76. Nice back porch with cat weather.
1st bold: I actually don't want "my side" to refuse checks and balances or subpoenas. That's one of the many reasons I will not vote for Trump for a third time. His plan to weaponize the justice system against his opponents is the very thing I am sick and tired of the other side doing. It would be pretty hypocritical of me to turn around and vote for someone who promises to do the exact same thing. Lady Justice has a blindfold on for a reason. I would like for her to keep it.
2nd bold: In my opinion, 99.999% of subpoenas should be satisfied. I know for damn sure if I got 10 subpoenas from the feds I would be expected to comply with every single subpoena. Why shouldn't the people we elect to represent us be held to that same standard? Now, in very extreme cases, maybe it makes sense to refuse it. But, again IMO, those should be extremely limited. We don't need our government bending the rules even more than they already do so they can be even more corrupt than they already are.
My childhood get was attacked by a bobcat right outside our house and narrowly escaped with minor wounds. He climbed up onto the roof. After that we got a cat door.
Looks like 76 for a high here. Had a low of 44. Hopefully there are many more days like this in July and August. Would be nice to have the first summer to not hit 90 at SEA since 2011.
Completely agree! Tomorrow is going to be another great day as we have our annual Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade. The parade starts at 10am so temperatures should be in the high 60s to low 70s during the event. Good news, for the first time in 30 years Vancouver will have float! The last time was in 1994, can’t believe it’s been so long.
“PORTLAND, Ore. — This year's Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade features a float from the city of Vancouver for the first time in 30 years.
The float is being designed by Fieldwork Flowers, a Vancouver-based florist. On Instagram, the florist said the float's concept draws inspiration from the fruit of the Pacific Northwest and the Grand Floral parade's history in displaying homegrown roses — but with a twist. The float will be covered in over 2,000 locally farmed flowers instead of roses.”
