You can see the imprint those training convective showers left on rainfall totals today. Around half an inch here... Like getting two rainstorms at once. Really nice how it coincided with the underperformance of the stratoform front itself.
Getting some of that "windy drizzle" now that we were discussing about earlier this Spring.
Steady light rain here since about 1pm. Very consistant. Renewed my WA EDL today so at least part of today was productive.
Question (and I say this as not a heat lover): if you had to torch just once all summer: would you rather torch in June when we have the longest daylight and least relief from the sunshine or in August when temperatures reach their average max (at least in EWA) and fire risk is higher? I'm genuinely curious as to everyone's preference.
I really enjoyed reading this. Did you ever visit Hood's final defeat in Franklin? I would love to visit all the Civil War sites. The one time I went east with my particular grandparents they only wanted to see Revolutionary / Colonial stuff.
Feb 2019 was one for the ages!
