Since we still have nine+ days left until the BIG GAME and the weather is starting to finally slow down, I did some deep dives into player/team analytics for both the Seahawks and Patriots, key matchups, historical precedent, accounting for different x-factor and black swan-style variables such as PV displacement to central CA, etc. As a result, I’ve come up with DEWEY’S THREE KEYS TO VICTORY:
1. Show up and show up on time.
For either team, an on time arrival will be crucial. Both teams have KEY players and their absence would be very impactful to the outcome of the game. Ensuring everyone has an accurate timepiece and dependable vehicle to get there, something with a good spare tire and fluid levels checked/topped off. Also, players should avoid contact with anyone who might be carrying one of many seasonal viruses floating around as to avoid sick calls.
2. Points
Not to get too deep in the numerical weeds, but in ALL 16 of the Seahawks’ victories during the 2025-26 season, they managed to outscore their opponent. This was clearly a winning strategy and will likely need to carry over in Santa Clara on the biggest stage. Some key things to look for will be touchdowns, field goals, safeties, two-point conversions and extra points. These will be aggregated at the end of the game.
3. Points prevention
Conversely for Seattle, in all three regular season losses opponents managed to outscore them, even if by only the smallest of margins. Preventing the accumulation of the above mentioned items will also factor into a winning strategy. Things to look for here will be incomplete passes, punts, fumbles, interceptions, turnovers on downs, taunting penalties, etc.
