Now looking like a completely dry first half of May is in the works. Not ideal, and another example of May's change post-2015 into a pseudo summer month.

Good news is that stronger El Niños often do feature strong monsoonal moisture and jet activity in late summer-early fall, with very wet ends to the warm season. I'm kind of hoping this Niño just goes full Godzilla at this point.
Also hoping that Cabin John, MD sees the first 100F dew point on record and the first human sweat-induced flash flood warning on record this year.
