Weird flex. Do you think the only thing people do in the gorge is hike in secluded spots? It has some of the best windsurfing in the world and plenty of great boating and fishing options.
I'm guessing you've spent less than 4-5 hours total around there in your life based on that.
It's fine to admit you're a complete gorge greenhorn, and to admit that Central King County springs are generally quite sunny and dry.
Nah... Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish are awesome for the boating scene. That is different than hiking in some secluded spot but also really fun. Both activities have their place. We have both options and many more.
Yeah, I mean anyone acting like what you're seeing the last couple of days represent the "new normal" for PNW spring is just willfully ignoring the data.
I've already shared the stats for SEA for last May and 2024. Overall, not far off at all from long term climo, and certainly nothing like summer. The only spring month since 2020 that has been top tier warm for western WA is May 2023.
I'm also not sure everyone understands how anomalous spring 2022 was, from a long term perspective. That was definitely not the norm or close to it 50 or 75 years ago.
