Since the models show actual temps, this is a strange argument to say they verified...they aren't forecasting how it feels.

79/62 day at PDX and mostly sunny. Basically perfect! Should be similar conditions tomorrow, gonna be the place to be for America's 250th birthday and the envy of tens of millions of people.

It's not just a matter of it trending east though. There's a latitude component to this as well, which makes it unusual (though not impossible) to get long double digit streaks of 90s the farther north you go from I-80. We're not St. Louis or Washington DC. Look at Boston... they are about as far east as you can go in the CONUS, and their forecast highs are in the 70s and 80s after tomorrow.
