I can see fire departments using these for smaller situations. It’s going to take a bit of different tech to dive into some extremely turbulent updrafts, but I don’t think that will be a hard problem to solve.
I’m not taking delight in this.
But just a few years ago an article in Outside Magazine came out where people who moved from Oregon to Vermont were bragging that they no longer had to put up with “wildlife smoke” season in Oregon.
The ironic thing is that Vermont has had some pretty smokey summers recently.
