Only the Mariners truly suck. They could have had such an easy regular season if they played up to their potential since everyone else is bad…But we truly suck…Really bad. It’s vomit worthy amount of suckage. Wilson needs to join the other Wilson and be a TV personality instead.

Got back from a family reunion in Lake Tahoe. It was nice. Bit smokey here in EWA but not too bad. Saturday could be a really high fire day.

No ENSO crash coming after this. Likely neutral or very weak ENSO for 27/28, similar to the majority of post super niño regimes (57/58, 65/66, 82/83, even 15/16 were all followed by low amplitude ENSO). Exceptions were 97/98 and 72/73, but those had a QBO/shear stress timing that constructively interfered to augment an ENSO transition (opposite of this year).

My top analog is 57/58, but 82/83 isn’t terrible either. 97/98 isn’t the best QBO/strat analog (was already going negative by midwinter with the rapid progression of easterly shear). IMO a blend of 57/58, 82/83, and 15/16 will likely prove fairly predictive from a large scale/low frequency standpoint.
