I’ve recorded 16 days at/above 90°F this month, w/ a maximum high of 97°F.
So far in 2026 I’ve recorded 54 days at/above 90°F and 7 days at/above 100°F, including a tie of my personal all time high of 107°F (also set in 2012). And ALL of the last 10 months have had below average rainfall IMBY.
This has arguably been a worse summer than 2012 IMBY due to the local rainfall void causing dry soils. My specific location has been left void on ~ 75% of the convective days this summer, it is ridiculous.
In years past I have almost always run cooler than DCA, especially at night. This is the first summer there has been essentially no difference (and I’m running even hotter during the day sometimes).
You are going to get 5:3 El Nino's vs La Nina's going forward if you don't adjust the system to global warming.
For Hadley Cell effects the RONI works better.
