Yep. Island Park is on the wetter side of the mountains but gets slightly less cold. But the whole area is a solid contender for best winters anywhere. Maybe even better than Hokkaido... (I've lived in both Hokkaido and Big Sky, back when BS was cheaper, so I'm pretty familiar with both areas). -

I think your area has a much higher average snow depth though. Theirs melts off fast.
