After a well below average temperature day to start July we should see a couple close to normal early July days....before the weather turns a bit unsettled as we head into the 4th holiday period.
A lot of our records for today were set on a very hot day in 1901. Highs across the County were Coatesville 103 degrees / Kennett Square-Phoenixville and Westtown at 101 degrees and West Chester at 100 degrees.
Other records for today across the County: Low temp 45 degrees at Devault (1988) / Rain 4.53" at Nottingham (2022)
Picked up 4.50" inches of rain last night with the training thunderstorms that sat over the south side of the Omaha metro area. After weeks of my backyard being missed by good rain... Mother Nature made up for it in a big way last night! With the half inch of rain that fell yesterday morning - that puts me around 5" for the last 24 hours which is the most rain we have had here from one storm in 5+ years!
More rain and storms in the forecast for later this afternoon as well... so it looks like we will keep adding up rainfall today.
Latest NH poll (taken after the debate) shows Trump leading by 2 points. That's a 12-point swing from December when Biden was leading by 10 points.

There's already a flood watch for the local river 4 miles south just because of forecasted rainfall! Though it's not particularly wet at my place part of the river basin got up to 1.50" of rain on Friday. DVN AFD sounds bullish, but we'll see....

I'm hoping for 2" this week before a possible dryer pattern.
And currently, a formerly heavy cell is dying as it's moving in. I don't like dying storms and it's ridiculous how often that has happened in recent months when it's headed right at us, or then they pop just to the east.
