"Fun Fact Friday"...Snowbowl Ski Resort had their latest closing date last year in very Late May and today will be the earliest OPEN EVER! It is opening 2 weeks earlier after nearly a Foot of Fresh Powder over the last number of days and very cold temps to fire up the snow guns. As a result, this is the shortest offseason on record folks! #climatechange...sarcasm...
On a side note, It's the coldest morning of the season for Arizona and the Valley. I see pockets of upper 30's in the valley and IMBY, while up north it is Winter at the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff as temps have dipped into the 10's...BRRRR...
We are actually having a beautiful fall here in KC with very good rains of late and mild temps. Grass is still growing fairly steady if your turf is healthy. Flowers are still in bloom as we have yet to have a killing freeze.
Looks like a good chance of rain tonight and a very mild week next week where a few days might see 65-70. No signs of cold for KC for at least the next 2-3 weeks.
My friend Gary Lezak out in Colorado is living a different season, it's been snowing at his place outside of Denver with the cut off low for days. I think he's going to go back into the snow again today. I believe he's under a winter storm warning. Last time he text me he was over 10 inches of snow. Some areas will finish with 3 feet!
