Dry and windy today with temps well into the 50's to near 60 degrees. A Red Flag Warning is in effect through today so outdoor burning is not recommended. We stay mild through Wednesday and then chill to below normal levels and see shower chances increase Wednesday night through the end of the work week.
Latest on NOAA:
Multiple episodes of rain showers expected next week as the strong
500 MB low over Baja California/northern Mexico phases with the
northern stream jet energy. Good clustering of the Euro ensembles
continues with the surface low tracking north-northeast through
Iowa/Minnesota on Tuesday, but then continued forecast adjustments
for the rest of the work week as the system translates southeast,
and redevelops over/near southeast Michigan and then to the East
Coast. Southeast Michigan looks to be on the warm conveyor belt side
as the system goes negative tilted on Wednesday. However, the sooner
the low near the Mid Atlantic coast takes over, the faster the cold
air will be able to sweep in, potentially supporting snow mixing in
as 850 MB temps lower, but still differences on the amount of cold
air, negative low single numbers vs negative mid single numbers. The
amount of cold advection and boundary layer mixing will also
determine the wind gust potential for the end of the work week, but
majority of euro ensemble members indicating 25-35 mph, with just a
few rogue members aoa 45 mph.
