I’m actually surprised by this warning last night. The area seemed like it was stable due to the rain earlier in the day and the last line of storms pushed through and i guess a pocket of untapped energy was available and we had warnings from Lawrence all the way to downtown kc. just shows that if there is enough dynamics then anything can spin up!

I honestly forgot last March was wet because of how dry it was by 5/1

No doubt... it would be nice if the moisture plume was wavering up and down the west coast instead of just pointing constantly at one area.

Wish we had some of this rain too.

Ahhh... be careful about making spring declarations because of a wet pattern in the first half of March. This could easily flip to dry the rest of the spring. It wouldn't surprise me at all. Last March was quite wet as well. Side note it doesn't have to rain every day in early March to keep the ground wet.
