With over 50" of snow on the ground at Marquette and over 30" at the Soo. I took a look to see when similar years with that amount on the ground when the snow was all gone. At Marquette when there was over 50" on the ground on March 17th in 1997, 1976, 1972 and 1975. In 1997 there was 1' or more until April 23rd it was April 10th in 1976, May 5th in 1972 and April 25th in 1975. Over at the Soo when they had over 30" on March 17th 1972, 2019, 1959 and 1986 there was at least 1" or more on the ground in 1972 April 25th, 2019 April 21, 1977 April 12 and in 1986 April 4th.

Less than 48 hours of "winter" left.

Out of endless rain and into the heat. Looks like we might get into a better pattern next week when we return... at least get rid of this firehouse which has been going forever around the western ridge.
