My new place doesn’t have a lawn. Entirely garden.

Some cooler April nights will be great for my poppies that have started to sprout en mass. I need to make some decisions about mowing this year. I have a fisker reel mower, but the blades are nicked and weight might be contributing poor coverage. Anyone here using a string trimmer or a hover mower?

Here was an exception to the Nino = cooler summers idea around the Lakes. Summer 2002:

Didn't read the text, but I wonder if they are thinking that the developing Nino will play a role. That tends to tilt the odds a bit toward cooler summers, though not always, and much will depend on how this Nino develops.
