Fun Fact: Last time it snowed in May here in the Detroit area was back in 2016, 2020, 2021 & 2023. This year it snowed on May 1st and the 2nd w both days reporting a trace of snowfall.

Last May, SEA had a -.5 departure and half the days failed to reach 65. Even June, which was +1, had 12 sub-70 days.
The previous year, June didn't touch 80 until the 20th and finished with a -1 departure. May was -1.9 and saw a three week stretch from 5/16 to 6/5 with only one 70+ day.

Seattle’s and its surrounding areas average first frost date doesn’t happen until around Thanksgiving. There are locale exceptions for late October, where most are in Eastern WA. What winter are you talking about that starts in October? Seattle doesn’t even make the list for average snowfall by month for October.
