Oh come on. I swam in Lake Washington many times when I lived in Seattle. Never suffered any adverse consequences for it. The lake used to be slop in the Fifties and the Sixties, before Metro was formed and built a countywide sewer system to clean it up.
Cracking down on water pollution was one of the big environmental success stories in the 2nd half of the 20th century, and it’s a shame this accomplishment has gone so underappreciated.
Makes sense why he likes the sun. Always on the boat and under the umbrella. I like hiking and enjoying the beauty of the lake to myself. Lake Washington is slop, always suspicious levels of bacteria, and full of people.
