There was a fire on Friday night on the Whitman county side of the Snake. On Saturday I saw helicopters filling up at the river and flying over the area in mop up. It seems to be out today or mostly contained. Tuesday is a fire weather watch here.
Just to get a sense of what we're dealing with on Wednesday, here are the normalized anomalies from the 00z GFS. The surface low moving through the Lakes is maxed out at the end of the scale.
By the way, the 00z GFS did shift north.
It really doesn’t look all that warm after tomorrow…lots of mid 70s to low 80s. Don’t typically really need AC when it’s below 85 or so for most folks.
