I want a repeat of the Labor Day Weekend 2017 heatwave and thunderstorms! Had some extreme heat and then it ended with afternoon pop up thunderstorms that rolled from the mountains and it got very humid with dew points in the low to mid 70s. Felt like a Arizona monsoon

I agree that the final number from today is not remarkable, but being in the 50s at noon was fairly impressive. Also as I mentioned earlier, I bet that being in the 50s at noon with a raging south wind in June has not happened often in Chicago.
As far as the Sunday system, if it takes that track to the south of here, we're getting screwed on temps. Rain and potential wind off the lake with lake temps still in the 50s and 60s would ensure a rather nasty day for this time of year.
