Currently running +0.6 in Chicago this month. That should tick down in the next few days, but it appears that the final few days of June will be warm enough to ensure that the month ends up being a little warmer than average.

LOT has mid 90s in the forecast for Chicago early next week. I was looking at the summers leading into strong Ninos since 1950, and the range in highest maximum temperature goes from 92 (2015) to 101 (1991). Besides 1991, one other strong Nino year hit 100 in Chicago, and that was in 2023.

SEA is at 88 on the hour... Jared is on pins and needles! Good news is the high clouds are clearing the Seattle area now.

89 here currently…will probably touch 90 this evening at some point. Would be #3 this year.

In the short term it’s much drier compared to some previous runs today. Hoping for more rain in the short term and less in the long term.
