Yes…. But SLC is capable of hitting 100 degrees multiple times a summer. 90+ degree days are normal. Personally I find summers in SLC have become unbearable. Between the dust and constant heat that place has become a nightmare.

They're over 4,300' elevation. I doubt anywhere in the U.S. at that elevation has legitimately hit 115. Maybe one or two spots.

I guess Salt Lake City finished the Winter with 6" of snowfall and their previous low was 21" or something like that?
