I wonder how warm the ocean would need to get to have thunderstorms instead of a marine layer here. Probably at least 90 degrees.

Deep marine layer coming in. Haven't seen that in a long time! I don't understand why the NWS has my area under a 30% of thunderstorms this evening, but I see no signs of any mid level convection.
