Crazy that the entire US is wetter than average in October. Will have to see that to believe it, lol.
I think it's important to remember that it's not uncommon for Ninos to have early cold and snow in October and/or November... in fact it happens somewhat often. The bigger problem is carrying that through into the winter. I have some thoughts on the winter and have shared a little bit, but I also think it's important to have some humility since we are heading for an event that nobody has seen before in their lifetimes.
I'm with you there. I even threw out the idea to my wife about selling and renting for a bit just so we can get as much equity as possible...I wish we were in a position to rent our current house and get something else, but alas, we are not
Both JMA and CFSv2 are sniffing out something...Really. Really. Special. It all starts, when it's "GO TIME"...OCT-NOV...Lesss Freakin' GO!!! Long and Short, literally everyone on the SUB will be seeing action and a favorable temp pattern as we get deeper in MET Autumn that should start "seeding" some colder air and possible winter storms in NOV???
JMA Seasonal's latest and greatest maps...Name that Flow???? #SplitFlow....Here we Go!!!
OCT...
Temp/Precip...Let the Firehouse STJ light it up!!!
NOV...GAME On Boy's and Girls! LOVE this set up, not gonna lie, but all things are pointing towards a phenomenal Snow Season for my region and both the Sierra's & CO Rockies.
Temp/Precip...Literally, the entire Lower 48 has zero AN temps...can you imagine that scenario and what the Climate Agenda folks will be saying??? It is only my gut feeling and belief, but something really is speaking to me that we are going to see an unprecedented cold season for a lot of the CONUS. You can say Super Niño all you want and hype it up, however, it comes down to the nature of the weather pattern which will set up in OCT/NOV showing us a glimpse into the future. By all means, I'm not hyping, I'm just excited to be tracking the evolution of something that probably has never happened before in terms of Niño strength and combining the potential of High Lat Blocking. It is startling to me that the Golden 3 Climate models (EURO, JMA, CFSv2) all are pretty much on the same page in terms of the general idea of the next few months.
