Cold wet summer looks to continue!!!

There is no indication of prolonged western heat in any meaningful time-range. It’s more of a troughing regime than anything. There is a muted signal for a brief heat spike in the clown range but I don’t know why that is the topic of discussion when there is troughing straight ahead.

No stickage here but at least it smells like summer. Burnt spruce, pine and fir . Area burned in BC is at 1,165,000 acres. The Largest fire is the Pear Lake Fire at a little over 400,000 acres. We drove through the ashes of the Pear lake fire where it crossed highway 97 around Clinton. Many homes along the highway were reduced to just a brick chimney and/or a metal wood stove pipe. The wind that came with that fire storm must have been intense as you could see large pieces of sheet metal wrapped around trees and utility poles. Dozens of hydro trucks were working to replace mile after mile of burnt utility infrastructure.
