Lovely morning in Bellevue. Low and dark cloud deck, streets framed in a New England summer green, and air that is just a smidge cool and a touch moist. This is a damn fine summer day.

Mid-Late June - Ornamental shrubs start to go crimson
Late June - Hobby Lobby starts to put their fall decore out
July 4th - Last pure summer day
July 5th - Back to school adverts start to appear
July 21st - Evening and morning light is noticeably shorter
Late July - Last 9pm sunset
August 1st - Pumpkin Spice date from Starbucks, NFL Hall of Fame game,
August 2nd - Sub 60º solar elevation
August 7th - Local temp averages start to make a noticeable decline; mornings are noticeably cooler
August 8th - NFL Preseason starts
Mid August - Sun is noticeably lower in the sky
August 19th - less than 14 hours of daylight
Late August - last 8pm sunset; sun under 55º (white color temps start to shift from bright white to warmer hues)
Last week of August - Pumpkin spice season kicks off
August 31st - last 50º day, sky is noticeably more "faded" on the horizon
September 1st - Safeway rolls out the Halloween candy
