Give me full sunshine with no marine layer and I don’t care what the temperature is during the summer. June seems to be the month where we have the best chance to pull that off. It seems to get hard as we get into July as offshore flow becomes more likely.
The tornadoes that we get out here are overwhelmingly just lowish-topped, cold core landspouts that are very erratic and notoriously hard to predict. I wouldn't expect the SPC to be able to effectively nail those setups since we aren't exactly talking about perfectly curved hodographs with high STP values.
I think the thing that is obscene about the Mar-A-Logo raid is the fact the FBI came in armed when there was Secret Service on the premises. Just totally ridiculous that happened. VERY poor judgment by the DOJ.
Could they not have just come in peacefully?
Me too. A lot of things going for the climate in that area. Cle Elum also has about the coolest summers you can find east of the Cascades thanks to the cool west wind from the low Central Cascade Passes.
I still like it here from mid June through December. Obviously Jan and / or Feb can be added to that list depending on the year.
