  1. Today
  2. In Seattle for a quick visit. Poured rain this afternoon until I got to Everett.
  3. The bastards are actually going to do it. On the day that they shut down Al Jazeera. Guess all the war crimes caught on camera is not a good look: https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/06/middleeast/israel-gaza-eastern-rafah-evacuation-notice-hnk-intl/index.html I am in disbelief that the U.S. and the rest of the world has stood by and let this all happen. History is not going to be kind to Israel. I know California is going to Biden, but I will not vote for that piece of sh*t. F*ck both Biden and Trump.
  4. 57 for a high today. Just 0.02” of rain this weekend.
  5. 52/46 day today here with 0.06” of rain.
  6. Well her district does have a Partisan lean of D+30. So essentially it's filled with the kinds of people who want to give the worst ideas from a failed state (Somali) a try. We're talking about a woman who would have probably been the victim of horrific cultural practices if she had not immigrated to America, yet she hates us anyways. Yeah, I know what you mean. I still can't believe what a wild year that was. Between the riots and the weird pandemic stuff... I think he was pretty caught off guard by it all. I don't think he will hesitate to send the military into Portland or Seattle this time around.
  7. Hmmmm... Guess they really shouldn't have invaded Israel on October 7th.
  8. Ended up with a 53/46 spread today here. Some morning rain, then mostly cloudy much of the afternoon with a cool breeze and spots of light rain/drizzle at times. Dry and 49 currently with just a little bit of light still in the sky. Picked up about .20” on the day. Closing in on 2” for May so far. Let’s see what we can pick up in the way of showers the next couple days.
  9. Definitely. Hoping we can get another round of action in late May/Early June.
  10. Ended up with a midnight high of 52 here yesterday. Afternoon high of just 50.
  11. From someone who has spent considerable time in Gaza, and not some armchair shlub. Read this and tell me Israel is the victim with a straight face: https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/05/opinions/israel-gaza-psychological-trauma-damon/index.html
  12. Yes that's how cyclical economies work. A huge money supply (close to zero % interest rates) causes inflation. That's where it all starts. God knows where our inflation would be if Trump controlled the federal interest rate, like he apparently wants.
  13. Yes, the low was 39. Midnight high of 46 yesterday, afternoon high was 41.
  14. Just looked at the SPC and looks like the Midwest is going to be very active tomorrow with an enhanced risk of tornadoes. Need to keep an eye on social media posts for what's happening
  15. No, there are mountains of evidence to prove the concept of evolution. If you are taking about human evolution, yeah, that's pretty much in the bag as well, but since we were not there to witness it firsthand, all we have is the evidence that we find, which, again, is very compelling. As far as God is concerned, I follow the evidence. There is NONE one way or the other. That's why I can never be an atheist. There's no proof to support that belief either. I just do not worry about it. I follow the Golden Rule, and that is all I need. If there is a God that wants to judge me for not being a believer, that is their problem and not mine, because I will just retort that they are rather needy to want a lowly human to believe. Then I can burn in Hell with a clear conscience And if there is no God, well at least I did my best and that's that. Finally, I already saw that video a long time ago. It's pure nonsense. Go on their website and read their stances on Israel. Lead off "fact"? "The Israelis and the Palestinians are not morally equal" A famous quote from her: “The Arabs are one of the least developed cultures,” Rand argued. “They are typically nomads. Their culture is primitive, and they resent Israel because it's the sole beachhead of modern science and civilization on their continent.” Fuq outta here with that ignorant colonial brain damage!
  16. It has to do with hormones. We need sunlight to function properly as humans. Gloomy weather is a powerful stressor to the body. “Excess stress (which can block progesterone synthesis and elevate estrogen) may bring on symptoms in someone who never had them. Spending a summer in Alaska, with an unusually long day, may relieve the symptoms of a chronic sufferer. Dark cloudy winters in England or the Pacific Northwest are powerful stressors, and cause lower production of progesterone in women, and testosterone in men.” https://raypeat.com/articles/articles/progesterone-summaries.shtml
  17. 17 at Camp Muir right now. Pretty insane for May!
  18. I do enjoy cool nights and sunny days. Any time the sun is shining between now and early October feels decently warm.
  19. It rained pretty much all day in Tulsa. I had 1.23", I see the airport had 1.73" and there was a station north of town with over 3". I've had 8.37" in the last 2 weeks so it's been a pretty incredible stretch. Probably some more with Monday night's stuff too!
