75 and sunny with a deep blue sky... hard to not call this a perfect summer day.
Unless of course low 50s with showers in your definition of "very reasonable temps" for summer. But even Juneau is sunny and in the 60s right now and will be in the low 70s tomorrow... so not sure where low 50s is considered reasonable for summer. Maybe an island in the Bering Sea? Also a possibility that Chris was just trolling very hard as usual.
On the subsurface loop... at the end it no longer looks like the really cold water is going to surface across all ENSO regions. It's sort of fading out from west to east.
