Really an oddball in that regard. The big snowpack in the higher elevations doesn't smack of a Ninoish pattern in spite of the 500mb level looking so Ninoish this month. The sad fact is the places where almost everyone lives has been sheit show. Snow in the mountains does me zero good right now.
I will say I'm surprised the ECMWF doesn't show an inversion with the ridge later on. Seems suspect to me.
Good news of the night is the ECMWF and GFS now agree on a huge Siberian SSW during week two. GFS does a PV split as well.
North Texas finally received rain. Granted it was near the northern border but it rained.
I’ll learn how my yard faired when I get him on Friday.
Wet and cold on the TxOkla. border. 51* and humidity 90%
