So, gone is the LRC talk from Lezak? Gone is an active pattern to end November? (looks like continued boring and dry up here). Now we may get cold but keeps getting shoved back now solidly into December. @Tom posting little promising news. Looks like more LR model "fake news" plagues us again this autumn. Did I miss something??
It was an eventful day of weather yesterday across the entire state of Arizona. Tremendous amounts of hail fell across parts of the west Valley, especially near Glendale, AZ where it looked like pils of snow. Heavy Rains caused flash floods everywhere, notably over in Wickenburg/Kingman area and also in the Valley. Snowbowl Ski Resort cashed in Big time with 22" of Snow on the 18th. I'm waiting for the update this morning for yesterday's snowfall. They open up officially tomorrow...what great timing from Nature to deliver natural white gold! It's a winter wonderland up there right now.
I forgot to mention, but I officially turned off the A/C for the year this past Sunday morning and might have to turn on the Heat for the first time this season. I'm not at the point just yet, but I will tell you, right now its rather chilly inside the house at 68F. The word "chilly", is all about perspective and where you live I suppose. Current temp outside is in the low 50's, two days ago it was in the upper 40's. I will say, Winter has made its way into the Valley kinda abruptly I'd have to say. This week alone has been a sharp contrast to what I've been experiencing the past couple weeks. I welcome it with open arms!
After a frosty start this morning we will see a mostly cloudy day with temperatures this afternoon a few degrees cooler than normal for late November. Tomorrow we should see above normal temperatures but with rain arriving tomorrow night. The sun returns for the weekend with temperatures not too far from normal. We look to warm to well above normal by the day before Thanksgiving before the pattern change to colder takes hold by Turkey Day weekend.
