Yeah as resident ensemble guy, this is not a promising outlook. GFS ensembles go back and forth on cold pattern in long range but that's a typical GFS feature throughout all of winter (it's like they add the cold tease by default). I got pretty excited a week ago when EURO ensembles started showing things. But that disappeared quickly and EURO has been largely consistent for past several days. Never what you want to see.
We have only recorded 11 snowstorms over 6" here in the last 10 years in Chester County. On average based on history we should have seen 15 such storms in a 10 year period. Below are the 11 snowstorms recorded here in Chester County over the last 10 years with greater than 6" of accumulation at a Chester County Station.

At work that day (11th), the wind was audible. Even though a gentle breeze picked up around 8am, by 9am it was blustery. Temp fell throughout the sunny day with no snow cover, which is impressive. Often, Fraser outflow + sun - snow cover = falling dew points with stable to nominally rising temp. Not that day.
