I water my lawn 2-3 times per week during the warm season depending on rain and it definitely grows the fastest in April-June then September into early November depending on rain and temps of course.
Last year it seemed like I only mowed once every 2 weeks or so in July, August and most of September. This past winter and spring have been pretty good for my lawn with the lack of real cold. Did my first mow on Valentine’s Day!
This looks really promising for thunder within the next two hours -- and quite scenic too! Late spring cold core days bring fantastically kaleidoscopic skies, some of the most active and interesting weather we get on the westside
I was hoping to avoid the heatwave, but it looks like we're going to have some kind of significant warmup, whether we hit 85F or 100F. Oh well, it'll be nice to have a few days of early summer as long as we cool off reasonably quick
Got the back mowed before the rain arrives. Probably one more mow and then it will go dormant until the fall. Even with as much water as I can reasonably put on it with a sprinkler.
