Talk to Fred. He was the one who decided to single me out and **** around with me, more than once. Easy to dismiss if it's not you. Be cool and I'm cool. It's pretty simple.
Feeling very 2015 (first time I remember seeing wildfire smoke on the west side) with the timing of this little smoke show this afternoon. Beautiful golden orange hues invading the landscape and notes of burning Douglas fir pleasing my nose. Eat your heart out @SeattleSmokeLayerFan
Black swan winter warmth event when?
Tbh, I think that 71°F record for Feb at PDX is probably the monthly record high I’d be least surprised to see obliterated. Dec/Jan warmth in the lowlands is pretty hardcapped by inversions, late February is not. PDX has hit 80 in mid-March before and EUG and RBG have hit the upper 70s in Feb. IIRC, the setup that got PDX to 70 in late Feb 2025 wasn’t even that impressive. I see no reason a well placed ridge in late February can’t get PDX into the mid-70s.
