Yeah like I mentioned yesterday, about 95% of my county lost power, and it's the largest outage in history for the utility company. Almost nobody that lost power yesterday has had power restored yet.
I did, but it wasn't even close to being in the same league as yesterday, at least here.
Finally found a gas station earlier this morning! Long line to get in but hey, mission accomplished.
Talked to my family in Kona last night. They're getting ready. They're still recovering from the 100yr storm in March, btw. Big Island does have her protectorates ..Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa which will mitigate impacts due to their size..but the rain will produce significant flooding.
Yeah, these Hawaiian named storms give us "locals" PTSD. I went thru Iwa and Iniki. El Nino is always a dangerous time for the Islands.
