We see stars in the winter too. Actually the stars on a cold winter night are usually much more brilliant than what you see in the summer because there is much less moisture in lower atmosphere.

Not the best weather week on the way. Rain is at least possible every day through Friday. Best chances of rain will be today into tonight and again tomorrow night into Tuesday. There is the potential a coastal storm could develop from Wednesday into Thursday which could increase the rain threat but at this point plenty of uncertainty on when and where that storm will track. Either way well below normal temperatures on the way with highs from Tuesday through Thursday according to the ChescoWx model not escaping the 50's with lows in the 40's.

Precip accumulation windows (6h/12h/24h/48h/72h/custom) have been added for most ensembles and models. For ensembles, it's enabled on mean-only maps. To support windows for individual members or percentile/probabilities would require new data logic and possibly balloon storage, so those remain out of scope for now.

Fresno was very foggy last December with temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s. I wonder how many picnics and BBQs @SeattleMarineLayerFan would have had if he lived there. He'd probably would have eaten his Thanksgiving turkey outside in the drizzle.
