  2. Today
  3. Just squeaked out 1.01" on the day to go with 1.03" yesterday for rare consecutive 1"+ days. I've never seen that in May before, and could find only 2 instances in the EUG historical record (looks like they didn't make it to an inch today). Up to 32.5" on the water year (Oct. 1 to date), which is close to normal and a big improvement on last year's ~26" at this point.
  4. Only managed to get 0.01” of rain but at least it did rain a bit. Hopefully there will be more the next few days because it looks like it might get dry for a while after Tuesday.
  5. Hey, that’s my birthday! Looks like this year will be about 25ish degrees cooler than that. Today had interesting vibes; 49 degree rain with fully leafed out trees and a high sun angle. Long and light, wet and cold. Felt unique.
  6. It sounded better in the original German.
  7. Interesting how MSNBC just obsesses over lawfare attacks on our former and future president. Meanwhile Americans are understanding what is at play here, with 57% of Americans now stating they understand the fact Democrats are weaponizing our injustice system against a political foe they know they cannot defeat in a fair fight.
  8. Closing in on .90”’ for the day. Over 1.25” for this event. 47 degrees currently which is a new low for the day so far.
  9. Radar is backfilling over your favorite metropolitan area.
  10. XMACIS is definitely the way to go. Select the Calendar Day Summaries and then check off 'Include Year of Occurrence'
  11. Equal parts naivety and mental gymnastics. Wow, you have made a great case for why I chose not to be religious, especially Christian. You think Satan will turn the air conditioner on for me?
  12. Only place I know to look is WRCC site. Didn't notice it stopped at 2016... but assumed 2023 was missing.
  13. It also says if you deny any of the Scriptures, such as that God gave the Jews the Promised Land, you're not a true believer. Basically it says, God created all people and He is the one who determines when they die. It also says the wages of sin is death. If you kill someone without an explicit command from Him to do so, that is called murder since He is the one who is in charge of life and death. Some situations are not murder such as the death penalty. The people they wiped out were evil beyond description. They needed to be conquered or the Jews would have become just as wicked as them and there would be no decent people left on earth. No other holy book says there is nothing you can do to save yourself no matter how good you try to be. It's all mercy and grace. Every other religion says you're saved by works or doing more good things than bad things. If a person is found guilty of theft, he can't defend himself or get out of prison by telling the judge all of the good things he has ever done. The only way to escape eternal death is to believe in Jesus who lived a sinless life, was crucified to pay for the sins of believers and rose from the dead, therefore conquering death. He promises that this will result in your sanctification, which is the lifelong process of becoming holy. It also says there will be results and a change in your life, since faith without works is dead. The resurrection would be a crazy thing for the disciples to make up, knowing how much they were willing to suffer and die for it. Nobody would be willing to suffer as much as they did and die because of a tall tale. Also the Bible has more evidence for its accuracy than most famous historical texts. The Dead Sea Scrolls prove that it was not altered.
  14. I know, my point was just that you posted an obviously outdated chart of daily record highs. Not sure if there was agenda behind that or not. It looks like that chart hasn't been updated since 2016. SEA set two daily records in May 2020 and four in May 2023. There's been plenty of record heat in May recently.
  15. Oh my God! A few stickers and some clothes! Much worse than this:
  16. 0.13” today with a high of 55. If this was winter it would have been a disaster to go from 0.75-1” of QPF at 2-3 day lead time to this. Bring on the heat.
  17. What about the other 75%?
  18. Picked up 0.09" of rain, exactly as predicted
  19. I bet if you talked to them, they might tell you otherwise. But that's beside the point. Using holy scripture that has been altered throughout its creation to suit those in power to justify actions that violate the Golden Rule is broadcasting to others that you are not a true believer and a failure in whatever religion you follow. The only real point of religion is to ensure its followers live as peaceful and virtuous lives as possible while being kind to fellow humans. Any deviation from that is a bastardization of its intent. A non-religious person teaching a religious person the single point of religion. Imagine that.
  20. Allah never spoke to them and gave them permission to carry out 9/11/2001 and 10/7/2023 though or promised them any land for it. That passage from the Koran is also too vague. It does not explain why they were supposed to kill the Jews. Nor does it refer to a specific group of people in a specific time in history. Moses had reasons why the Jews were supposed to get rid of the evil people around them. If not, they would have given into the mobmentality and become just as evil as they were.
  21. Hard to believe it cracked 60 today with just some drizzle when models a few days ago indicated a sub-50 high was possible with 1” of rain. If this were snow, the Puget Sound weenie meltdown would’ve been off the charts!
